Hotel Alfonso VIII De Cuenca

The hotel is not far from the train and the bus stations (less than 10 min. on foot). The room was clean and with a good view of the park in front of the hotel and of the old city. The breakfast was served at the 7th floor, on an amazing terrace, with an amazing view of the city. It was absolutely adequate for the price, with a large choice of different home-made cakes.

My stay in Cuenca was last minute as another plan had not materialised. This was my first visit. I wanted a central location with good transport links to access the rail station and local attractions. This hotel is ideally located in the centre, near bus stops and the main shopping street. I made several visits to the delightful old town and was able to make use of the 7th floor restaurant with its panoramic views. The facilities of the hotel were in keeping with the price.

There is a beautiful park just across from the hotel. The hotel is very central. The bathroom was almost the size of the bedroom, with a lovely full length bath perfect for a soak after 4 hours on a motorcycle. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located to activities in the town and the Old City I would love to stay there again

The view from the restaurant on the top floor is excellent!
